Welcome to Smashit Badminton. I am the founder of SMASHIT with the vision of growing my business and encouraging more people of all ages and abilities to play badminton. 

 

'You don't have to be great to start but you have to start to be great!'

I started badminton at the age of 10. I have always loved sport and decided at the age of 10 to go down to Hertfordshire County U11 trials where a coached picked me up and said I have potential and I should have some coaching. My journey started there...

 

I played on the Badminton England circuit working my way through the bronze, silver and gold tournaments. At the age of 12 years old I travelled to Vancouver to play in the Vancouver International Junior Cup where I bought back gold in the singles and doubles and silver in the mixed. 

Through my early teens I represented England playing in Denmark, Poland, Germany and in the UK School Games in Sheffield where I bought back medals in all.

I am also the Comets Sports Award 4x winner.

 

I have had a great career playing badminton for my country but at the age of 15 years old I decided to take a different route and go into coaching.

I have been coaching since 2012 and I love it! Passing on my skills and experience to others is great, I love seeing improvements when coaching.

 

 I set up SMASHIT in September 2018 and now run successful junior clubs offering high level coaching and games. I employ qualified coaches (all who I know personally) to help out at my busy junior clubs. We have lots of fun whilst learning new skills.
